Belle Vue 51 Swindon 39
The
Aces collected a hard fought three points against Swindon this evening
to move back into a play off position in the Elite League table.
The
Robins, who like Belle Vue suffered at the hands of Poole last week,
kept the score close at Kirkmanshulme Lane as both teams battled to get
back to winning ways.
The Aces had raced into a leading position
but Swindon brought it level by race six and were only four points
adrift with three races to go.
But the six man Aces side managed to
break away in the final stages of the meeting - with five of them each
collecting at least one heat win.
Boss Chris Morton said: "The final
score doesn't reflect what actually went on tonight. It looks like we
beat them comfortably when we didn't, we beat them uncomfortably!"
